Abstract
This report was produced on behalf of the Offshore Energy Research Association of Nova Scotia (OERA) to provide government and industry with a clear understanding of the value proposition for tidal energy in Canada, including the opportunities and challenges of creating a supply chain for a future tidal energy industry.
The main objective of the report is to produce a comprehensive assessment of the value proposition for tidal energy that provides an estimate of the potential value, broader benefits and potential economic impacts of tidal power development to Nova Scotia, the Atlantic Region and Canada. Meeting this objective requires casting the net widely for relevant information and lessons learned.
