AB - The third winter survey for the NYSERDA offshore planning area (OPA) was started on February 3, 2019, and completed on February 17, 2019. The survey took eight days to complete with poor weather conditions causing occasional down days as well as short survey days on days when surveys were undertaken. These surveys are designed to characterize the usage of the area by marine fauna to aid in the planning for offshore wind.
