TY - RPRT TI - Methodology for Estimating Tidal Current Energy Resources and Power Production by Tidal In-Stream Energy Conversion (TISEC) Devices AU - Hagerman, G AU - Polagye, B AB - The EPRI North American Tidal In Stream Energy Conversion (TISEC) Power Project will demonstrate the feasibility of tidal current power to provide efficient, reliable, environmentally friendly and cost-effective electrical energy and to create a push towards the development of a sustainable commercial market for this technology. This project is being conducted by a team consisting of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), EPRIsolutions, a subsidiary of EPRI, Virginia Tech, the University of Washington, Mirko Previsic (private consultant), Devine Tarbell and Associates (TDA) and the Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), herein referred to as "the Project Team."EPRI is a non-profit science and technology energy industry collaborative organization that provides a wide range of innovative products and services to more that 700 energy-related organizations in 40 countries and has an annual budget of about $300 million. EPRI's multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers draw on a worldwide network of technical and business expertise to help solve today's toughest energy and environmental problems.
