AB - TeraWatt is a £1m project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council through its Marine Challenge Fund. The project formally began on 22nd February 2012 and will run for 36 months. The project will develop sophisticated computer models designed to help streamline the licencing of wave and tidal energy devices by minimising their impacts on the marine environment.These Position Papers provide a "toolbox" of methods to better understand and assess the effects of tidal and wave energy arrays on the marine environment.
